‘The Future of Clestrain’ event

You are all invited to a public consultation day on the future of the Hall of Clestrain. Come and give us your ideas and views, we have our own of course but we want your before we start on the next phase of the project.

We are delighted to invite the local community and members of the public to come along to our event and tell us what they would like to see develop at the Hall of Clestrain. We want this to be a vibrant community resource and a facility that will truly benefit the people
of Orkney.
The trustees will be there to provide information about the current Hall developments and answer your questions. There will be exhibitions and for entertainment, there will be stalls, refreshments, plants and home bakes for sale, live music, dancers and
activities for the kids.
There will be the opportunity for people to record their memories or stories about Clestrain, the Rae Family and/or connections with
the Hudson’s Bay Company.

“Save by the community, for the community”

We would welcome representatives from Community Councils and other organisations who might be interested in what happens at Clestrain. These include historical societies, museums and libraries and those connected with the tourist industry, as well as school children, students and members of Scouts and Guide groups.
We would love to know your thoughts, so please take a few minutes of your time and complete our online community consultation survey.

You can also fill in our on-line survey here
