Our membership is the lifeblood of the John Rae Society. Our members are a group of super-interested, highly knowledgeable folk, some with blood ties to John Rae and other Arctic explorers his day. We welcome their contribution to the society in sharing their interest, knowledge and artefacts; attending our events and supporting our fundraising. As you will see in the tables below, there are currently 430 members on roll (joint members are assigned one number so are counted as one in the figures). They hail from Orkney, Scotland, the UK, Canada, USA and further field. Member benefits include a biannual newsletter and early notice of our events. You also get access to a group of like-minded individuals with an interest in the John Rae story and Orcadian and North Canadian history, who want to see us achieve our aims and ambitions. Why not become a member?
