Virtual Open Day at the Hall of Clestrain
Because of the current restrictions that you don’t need reminding about, we have created a virtual Open House so you can explore the Hall in 3D, fly in a Drone over the Hall, as well as examine some of the original documents about the building of the Hall. Some of the content is previous work that we have done but a lot of it is new including the four videos of our President Andrew Appleby giving a tour of the Hall, these were filmed by James Grieve another of our Trustees. The link is here https://opendoors.johnraesociety.com/
As well as all this if you follow the ‘Future?’ road sign you can have the first report by our Project Manager of the work we have been doing during Lockdown. By using Microsoft Teams we have not only been able to hold meetings but colaborate on the large and complicated documents needed. These are the initial plans and reports for the restoration of the Hall and its regeneration into a major Orkney events location. There is lots to see so take you time and visit as often as you like!
To apply for the grants, we need to part fund this project so if you can help us and donate to this major project please go to our Just Giving page at https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/JRS-Funds-Needed
